When you mention the word ‘coach’ sports teams and athletes usually spring to mind, from junior soccer leagues to professional sportspeople.
Have you ever thought about the fact that even the most successful sportspeople in the world have a coach? It’s not like they don’t need one anymore once they get to the top. If they want to stay at the top that is.
Why do sportspeople still believe that they need a coach? Why, even when they become the best in the world, do top sportspeople still have a coach?
It seems self-evident when asked in the context of sports because everyone knows that a coach is essential to high performance as an athlete. No one does it without one.
A coach challenges, supports, motivates, provides direction, and offers an outside, objective perspective. A coach sees where improvements can be made, they see the finish line and they understand what it will take to get you there.
Business, or in fact any area of your life in which you want to excel, is no different. A coach will guide, support and motivate you in your efforts to reach your vision, your bright shiny future, your perfect world scenario.
Businesses who use a coach are more likely to experience better business results – improved work performance, business management, time management and team performance.
So why me?
I’m a trained coach and business mentor. Additionally I’ve started, bought and sold businesses, I’ve worked in the corporate world in a variety of roles, I’ve managed, trained and mentored staff, and I’ve hired, fired and made staff redundant. I’ve worked with business owners across a wide array of business industries and sizes both here in New Zealand and overseas. I have a degree, multiple accreditations and I’ve trained as and had experience as a group facilitator. You could say that I’ve been there and done that.
I strive for success, both for myself and for my clients.
When we work together we’ll clarify your vision, what success looks like to you, and you’ll be supported, encouraged and guided towards achieving that. Each session we’ll agree on actions for you to take which will get you closer to your goals.
You’ll be held accountable, something many business owners say they need, but with the understanding that business is fluid, shit happens as they say, and we all do the best that we can under the circumstances. My job is to help keep you on track, to support and encourage you, and if relevant and wanted, give you the benefit of my own experience along the way.
Your vision is what’s important here. This is not about me imposing my vision of what I think your business should look like. Only you know the answer to that.
I believe your potential is more than where you are now. I can safely say that because I believe that everyone’s potential is further than where they are now. But not everyone will take the steps to do something about that.
Will you?
Is it time for you to achieve your vision?
